NY-based Bulgarian pianist Tania Stavreva will be performing an excerpt of my piece Vivarium for piano and electronics at her upcoming recital at The Drawing Room in Brooklyn. Tania is a champion of new music and an absolutely breathtaking pianist. Called a “Bulgarian-born piano dynamo” (Time Out New York) Stavreva’s 30 min mini-solo piano recital “Remembrance: Past, Present & Future” is dedicated to her father Georgi Stavrev who passed away on August 28th, 2010. “Remembrance: Past, Present & Future” will featuring a short set of pieces from traditional composers (Past), modern composers from Tania’s current 20th century repertoire (Present) and new music by living composers (Future), including compositions by Tania Stavreva herself.
